A twitterati mentions that Reliance is planning to launch its on-demand cab service – with a twist*. The contract will be heavily skewed towards the drivers : 4 year contract will get you the car (more on the lines of Avis), which will help them poach drivers from Uber and Ola.
Ola driver tells me Reliance is starting an on-demand cab service soon and is busy poaching drivers for now. 4-year contracts get you a car.

Given that Reliance is pumping big money into 4G (though delayed), expect Reliance to build services that provide 360 degree services around the data business. The company is already working on its own music streaming service, its own Jio drive and messaging client.
* Not verified yet. We will update once we hear back from Reliance.
