What’s your target segment?
People working in corporate, businessman, engineers, doctors etc. Age group 25-35 mainly. Also we have corporate clients where we have made deals on corporate level. A Company purchases WowDining cards in bulk and gift them to employees or customers. We also give them co-branded cards with their company logo.
How does this work?
We just deliver this card by executive or courier. It also has a printed directory of restaurants with information like address, phone numbers, description, food type and WowDining Card offers for each of them. A person just need to show the card to get the offer. After that even a customer is not carrying this directory he can call us on customer care anytime. Usually we get queries like “I am at Defence colony. Which is the nearest restaurant and what is the offer with Wowdining card? ” Also we send sms/email updates about addition of restaurants to our existing users. People can visit website also for latest information.
How different is WowDining offering from deal sites?
We are not like daily deals. There is no fine print in fact. The offers we list with WowDining Cards are for long period (2 yrs) and any user of WowDining Card can avail anyday anytime at 100 restaurants in NCR. We -are planning to expand to Mumbai and Bangalore and other metros also. Many corporate ask for other cities product also.
Given the current noise in deal space, a more ‘focused’ and sure-shot offering stands a much better chance, especially when its positioned as corporate gifting service. What’s your take?
