Ringing Bells Woes Continues; HC Asks UP Govt. To Expedite Status Report By April 5

Makers of “Freedom 251”- world’s cheapest phone, seem to tangled in a web of trouble. In reference to an FIR filed on March 21 based on a petition filed by BJP MP Kirit Somaiyya, Allahabad High Court on Wednesday has asked Uttar Pradesh government to furnish status report on action against Ringing Bells promoters on urgent basis by 5th April.

Looks like High Court has learnt something from Vijay Mallya! As it also ordered the promoters of Ringing Bells to submit their passports to Noida police in 24 hours.

Earlier on Wednesday, Ringing Bells had confirmed the shipments of Freedom 251 through SMS and Email and has promised the delivery of phones to be done by 30th June through Cash on Delivery.
