RIP: The last-ever VCRs will be made this month

It may surprise many of us, but Funai Electric, a Japanese company still manufactures VCRs. However, the company has announced it will cease production and will produce the last batch units on July 30, citing difficulty in obtaining necessary components. VCRs were launched 40 years ago, and Funai started producing it in 1983.
