Over 100 Roadrunnr delivery boys are protesting against the company’s new policy and have damaged the office furniture.
The reason? New compensation structure which is now based on per delivery basis as opposed to per hour earlier.
“Earlier we got Rs 50 per hour and extra for number of deliveries. Our monthly earnings were around Rs 25,000. Now with only Rs 35 per delivery and with an average of hundred orders a month, we will make only Rs 3,500,” [one of the delivery boys/source].
After the TinyOwl incident, RoadRunnr has hired 15 bouncers in anticipation of the trouble (we are already in the know of many such startups, as we mentioned in the TinyOwl piece).
RoadRunnr raised $11mn 6 months back from Sequoia Capital and others.
