India is one of the leading markets for OnDemand solutions and it’s just a matter of time when companies start switching from on-premise to cloud based services.
iWebNotes is a Mumbai based startup that has launched a SAAS based ERP solution targeted towards small and medium businesses.
Priced at Rs. 299/user/month (including the setup cost), the product has covered all the necessary modules like accounting, sales, purchasing, inventory, manufacturing and HR that would be needed for any SMB market.
What’s commendable about the service is that all the modules offer basic functionalities (for instance, you can’t do 3-way invoice, but can carry all the minimal functionalities required to create/follow up with invoice) , without too much of extra feature-load – nicely follows the super-lean product principle.
Having said that, it would be interesting to see how the team will cope up with their lean offering – Indian SMEs are known to have complex feature requirements and need all that at a hyper-competitive price.

Aside, do you think pricing per modules works in SAAS context?
