Salesforce will soon allow its Community Cloud customers to embed buy buttons that will allow customers to make purchases directly from within online communities.
Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter are all helping brands drive e-commerce experiences with “click to buy” options within the community. However, brands struggle to replicate the experience on their own communities.
As more and more brands take up the community approach to selling, it’s becoming important to use discussions to sell products. Customer Cloud will automatically recommend products given the context of the discussion.
Salesforce has partnered with e-commerce companies such as CloudCraze, Demandware and Bigcommerce. Customer Cloud users should be able to use Salesforce Lightning Components to add the e-commerce capabilities without any programming.
