We earlier covered Cloudmagic, a Bangalore based startup that launched a super awesome Gmail and Google Docs Search engine. Cloudmagic is cross browser extension that earlier launched integrated search for Gmail and the team has now announced addition of Twitter stream to the extension (available for Chrome/Firefox).
The core challenges with Twitter search is that
- it doesn’t searches for tweets older than 10 days.
- cannot search for DMs (i.e. Direct Messages)
CloudMagic solves this with a much better implementation – all you need to do is to install the extension (which will index and search your Twitter stream). Once you have installed the extension, a floating search bar will appear when you are on Google/Twitter page. The team has beautifully implemented a ‘Google Instant’ like search experience and post Twitter extension, you can use the CloudMagic extension for searching:
