Shell acquires EV charging company Volta for $169 million

  • The deal will be completed through a Shell subsidiary.
  • The companies expect the deal to close in the first half of this year.
  • The deal amounts to 86 cents per share, which is 18 percent more than Volta’s closing price on Tuesday.
