The technology education firm, Simplilearn, has secured $15 million (Rs 95 crore) Series C round of funding led by Mayfield Fund, participation from existing investors Kalaari Capital and Helion Venture Partners.
The funds raised will be utilized to scale the business, invest in enhancing the technology platform and also, expanding the courseware to include digital marketing.
The company is also setting up a studio in the US to create video content with the help of technologists and experts based there.
“Currently, we train about 20,000 people every month and about 60% of them are from the US. Security-related certification is also becoming a key aspect in the US. We are also looking at adding a lot of courses related to IT security,” says Krishna Kumar, Founder, Simplilearn.
