Education Startup Skyfi Labs Raises Funding from The Chennai Angels

Bangalore based education startup Skyfi Labs has raised funding from angel investor network The Chennai Angels, along with investment bank Spark Capital.

The amount of funding raised was not disclosed.

Skyfi provides engineering students hands-on training in courses ranging from robotics, aero-modelling and mobile app development among others. It was started in 2010 by IIT-Kanpur graduates.

It has trained over 25,000 students from across 150 colleges with its programs.

Skyfi will use the current round of funding to expand to 1,000 new colleges, and to strengthen its back-end technology.

The Chennai Angels had previously invested in social learning network Classle in 2012.
