- Snap joins Meta and TikTok in introducing measures allowing EU users to opt out of content personalization, in order to comply with the EU’s Digital Services Act (DSA).
- Snap will also introduce other changes including an ads transparency library, limit ad personalization, and roll out new notification and appeals process for content removal.
- The DSA also necessitates penalties up to 6% of global annual turnover for non-compliance, with the due date for compliance being August 25.
