Snapdeal has announced that it has acquired mobility solutions company Letsgomo Labs as it looks to strengthen its position in the m-commerce domain.
Letsgomo offers end to end mobility solutions to businesses and its 76 member team has expertise across tech, design and strategy to help harness the power of mobile.
The firm’s expertise span from evaluating the possibility of deploying a mobile-first solution, engineering apps, helping onboard users through marketing programs and evaluate performance based on analytics data.
When it comes to app development, one of the verticals Letsgomo focuses on is m-commerce, something which makes it valuable to Snapdeal. Further, the company powers the mobile presence of brands like Yatra, Healthkart, Shopclues, etc.
Mobile is becoming the key focus area of e-commerce players in India, which in a span of just 2-3 years has become the dominant online shopping platform in the country.
Snapdeal claims that 75% of its sales now come through mobile platforms. A similar mobile monopoly is what led Flipkart to shut Myntra’s web platform, and solely focus on building just an app.
