The e-commerce giant’s parent company, Jasper Infotech Pvt. Ltd has set up E-Agility Solutions -a wholesale unit to buy products up front, instead of relying on a marketplace model, where Snapdeal so far has only acted as an intermediary between sellers and consumers.
The new model, which resembles the ones followed by competitors Flipkart and Amazon, will give the company better control over its inventory and service levels. E-Agility Solutions was incorporated in November 2015 by Jasper Infotech.
