Vijay Ghadge, the COO of Vulcan Express, Snapdeal’s captive logistics unit, has stepped down from his post less than five months after joining the company. He previously served as the COO of e-commerce logistics firm GoJavas, in which Snapdeal holds a significant stake.
Vulcan Express CEO Hardeep Singh informed the company staff about Ghadge’s exit citing a personal exigency. No further information was disclosed.
His exit comes at a time when Snapdeal, along with rivals Flipkart and Amazon India is trying to cut down its dependence on third-party logistics services.
