so how much time do you have??

..I am gonna die on Nov 22, 2042! Still a long way to go!

To know your D-day, visit ‘The Death Clock‘.

DeathClock is “Internet’s friendly reminder that life is slipping away… second by second. Like the hourglass of the Net, the Death Clock will remind you just how short life is.”

And all you have gotta do is enter your data of birth, sex, your psychological mode [normal/sadistic/pessimistic], BMI and smoking status.

I played with the site and noticed that being normal [vis-a-vis pessimistic] increases my life expectancy by 30 years.!! Interesting!
The site has a good collection of celebrity deaths [read Nirvana’s Kurt Cobain as well as Humphrey Bogart] and obituaries of celebrities.

Though DeathClock sounds quite pessimistic and dark, [thanks to the site background color], there are useful health related articles/ library/guidelines.
Give it a shot.

I wish these guys had a desktop widget [maybe Google gadget?], which can show how much time you have – that ways you can be more productive, and be more aware of your life/loved ones and priorities too!

The site can turn into a great place for health related query. After all, the idea is to first scare them and then teach them some ‘how tos’ [burn fat/quit smoking etc]!.

Also, these guys can add some social networking twists too. For e.g. people who are dying in the same year/month can become friends [after all, they will go ‘their‘ around the same time, so why not become friends now rather than wait!!].

My whole experience with DeathClock can be summarized in 1 song – Time [Pink Floyd].

“And you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but its sinking
And racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in the relative way, but you’re older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death”
