One of the things I think we do—which I think is very unusual and many people have criticized us for—is that we don’t study the competition.
In fact, for 34 years, we have made it a point not to look at the competition, and sometimes you can express it as a very arrogant statement because we don’t treat anyone as competition.
The problem is that people tend to study successful companies, they don’t tend to study the customer.
