Philadelphia Based SocioSquare Bags Funding from Angel Investors

SociosquarePhiladelphia headquartered SocioSquare, a social media marketing firm, has secured a investment of $3,25,000 from a group of angel investors. The round was led by Dr. David Bell, a Professor at the Wharton School, along with the participation from investors from US, UK and Turkey.

The two year old startup is part of AKG Technologies INC with offices in Mumbai, Noida and Bhopal. The company will use the funds to launch social media products aiming to simplify content creation.

NyooTV, a product by the startup is a social TV network which provides high quality video streaming at low bandwidth speeds. Categories like movies, T.V shows, sports, entertainment and blogs are included among the offered services, which is present on P.C and mobile.

According to Gaurav Mendiratta, Founder & CEO, SocioSquare, the company has developed two products which targets the problems of ROI on social ads and low reach among fans.

The parent company, AKG Technologies, has developed a product on top of Facebook’s Ads API which will be rolled out in the coming month.

SocioSquare has more than 20 clients which includes marquee names like Zee Group (ZeeKhanaKhazana, Ditto TV),, The Mobile Store, among others. The firm provides services such as Media Advertising & Fan Engagement; Social Media Optimization; Analytics; SEO; development of Applications for Facebook / Mobile.
