Sports Education Startup KOOH Raises $2 Million, Plans To Launch New Initiatives

Founded in 2010, sports education startup KOOH Sports has raised $2 million in funding round D from its existing investors which include TCS, HDFC, Faering Capital and they will share a 70 per cent stake in the startup. Sports promotion service Elevate Sports also participated in the funding round and will own a 5% stake in the company.

The raised funds will be used to introduce new initiatives like basketball for girls and a new fitness testing platform called Focus score.

The startup aims to get students to become more active in school and professional sports training programmes. The company claims to have provided sports education services to 1,20,000 kids across the country.
