Standard Chartered Takes Customers For an Uber Ride, Offers 25% Cash-back For Credit Cardholders

Standard Chartered Bank credit cardholders in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, and the United Arab Emirates will get up to 25% cash-back on all Uber rides globally under a recent partnership entered between the bank and the taxi-aggregator.

This is the first multi-market partnership for both Standard Chartered Bank and Uber, the world’s most popular transport app. Collaborating with Uber is part of Standard Chartered’s digital agenda to deliver simple and convenient banking through digital channels for increasingly tech-savvy clients.

The offer is available to cardholders to all Standard Chartered cardholders in Singapore, Malaysia, India and Vietnam, Indonesia from 1 October 2016. The date of availability for cardholders in UAE will be announced in the near future.

Cardholders in India will receive 20% cash-back on all Uber rides, subject to a cash-back cap of Rs 600/- per month. Cardholders who are first-time Uber users will enjoy Rs. 50/- off every ride for the first three rides.
