Startup Chile announces its 7th batch. India Drives 10% of Representation

startupchileStartup Chile, the accelerator run by the Chilean government has picked 100 new startups to join its seventh batch, with nearly 10 % of representations (applications) coming from Indian startups.

Among others, TableGrabber, the Expedia for restaurants and FITH Media Private Limited, a mobile game development company have made it to the list this time (please share if we have missed any).

The program, an attempt to attract early stage entrepreneurs to Chile, gives startups a $40,000 equity free grant and a 1 year resident visa to the team with office space and connects.

Tablegrabber, a real time restaurant reservation platform launched at the earlier edition of our startup event Unpluggd. The startup is part of Microsoft Accelerator program as well.

FITH Media Pvt. Ltd, is a mobile game developing company from India which started out in January 2013. It has launched four games so far and one of them, “Slumdog Plumber and Pipes Puzzle” clocked over 50,000 downloads from Google play in less than a month.

MicroSolar: MicroSolar develops ultra low-cost solar electronics. MicroSolar’s inverters deliver state-of-the-art efficiency, cost 72.4% less than the competition, and offer plug-n-play implementation, all whilst fitting in the palm of your hand.

Another Indian startup which made it to the program is Motorpaneer, which helps buyers make a decision while buying a new car. Bitrockr, a startup that lets users analyze personal data to help them make decisions has also made it to the program.

Last year, five Indian startups including,, GrabHalo and Credool made it to the program.
