Food Delivery Service Swiggy Asks ‘Dabbawallahs’ In Mumbai For Pointers
Bangalore based food delivery service Swiggy has asked the world famous ‘dabbawalas’ to give them a crash course on logistics ahead of its release in Mumbai.
Swiggy, which already runs its services in major cities in India, invited the dabbawalas to hold a presentation about their systems of efficiency, training and packaging food for delivery. Nandan Reddy, co-founder of Swiggy, emphasized that their own delivery drivers could learn a lot about the values and teamwork exercised by the organization. Recently, Flipkart partnered with Dabbawallas for delivery.
Swiggy recently raised $16.5mn to expand their operations and is looking to start their services in Pune soon.
