Swiggy removes ‘Holi Egg’ billboard after people started uninstalling the app

  • Billboards in the Delhi-NCR region have been removed by Swiggy after the company faced criticism from a certain group of social media users for its advertisement asking people to refrain from using eggs on one another during Holi celebrations.
  • As soon as the advertisements went live, many users of Twitter tagged Swiggy with the hashtag #HinduPhobicSwiggy and encouraged other users to stop using the app.
