Started strong! Living the tag ‘Entrepreneur’, you wanted since forever?
Are you contented?
You lost the ‘mojo’ in your journey to scale?
The real challenges an Entrepreneur has is – ‘no one wants to be sold to’. You end up blowing it to get more business. The sooner you realise that the customer base is that wand which can fix almost any situation, the better it is to grow steadily.
Looking out in the world for customers, with the fishing net isn’t bad, it’s just too cleshay. Let’s walk through the cheat map to revive the lost zest in the entre-journey.
• Become a good Boyfriend or a Girlfriend
It is not about ditching your love; it’s about creating more relationships with the audience who are the real block of your dreams. Engage with protective clients build a cordial relationship. Be a good listener. Prove them you are a trusted resource, by providing them, valuable content. Only then, attempt to sell your product.
• Get a degree in the subject, ‘ My Product.'
Before you sell, teach yourself anything and everything about the product. Talk to your employees or relatives who have used the product what their basic doubts are. Understand your business first. Few questions you should crack before you convince others are:
* What do u do?
* How will it serve the customers?
* What is the Unique Value Proposition?
* What real problems does it solve?
• Study the Target before you set the bait
You can never hunt a lion by baiting ants. Develop a detailed customer profile. Study your prospect, from where she lives, to her marital status to her profession.
Gather as much information as you can. Create a mental image before you initiate the selling process.
The key is to make your content your target specific. The golden rule is, if the product is for everyone, it will end up with no one!
• Look around before you look out in the world
Your Niche customers are equally important than the once spread around the globe. The more niche focused you stay, it becomes easier to extract a personalised customer profile to convert them into valuable leads. It makes your target more achievable. Try the marketing hacks to target them better, some are
* Develop a website
* Provide content
* Focus on top 5 keywords
* Email campaigns
• Ask for Referrals, Don’t get shy
Ask your happy customers for referrals, upfront. It is the most cost effective way of creating a loop of the unpaid sales force. Look for unique schemes to reward or acknowledge to loyal customers and referrals. Who does not love attention or special treatment or discounts? Just make sure you tell them they are more special to you than others.
• Old is gold, dig them more
Have you ever gone through your own customer files? Don’t forget; you have sold them once, you can do it again. A wise play is to retain the old than to chase the new. Upsell your customers, inform them about the changes or the new product line you have invented. Few ideas are:
* Stay in Touch, post sale
* Conduct a survey, take feedbacks
* Ask for reviews
* Send emails, for a constant reminder that you still exist
* Give them a reason to buy AGAIN!
Always remember to close the loop, don’t leave your customers hanging in mid- air out of nowhere. It will take a while to create the system, but once the machinery is set in place, the mojo is bound to return.
Trust the magic of your customers! Moreover your product!
