ZopNow was nice. One item i needed was not on their list, though i feel that happens. They delivered within the promise deadline of 3 hours + free delivery. (For new users though). They also have some free delivery option for anyone who shops for Rs.5000 in a month. Next month is completely free, even if you order small stuff.
@Sarsij - Occasionally for me, Bigbasket deliveries are not on time but almost ( 90% of the time), i have got delivery on desired slot. (They do not promise same day delivery, they promise delivery on available slots which we book during placing the order)
@Udit - That is what i asked. 90 Mins was USP of Grofers when they launched. There was no pain point in delivering stuff in 90 mins but what pain point they are trying to solve by delivering stuff to my home next day from shop hardly 1 km away. I can simply walk by to that store and pick up stuff myself.. I can understand Bigbasket takes same time to delivery stuff from their stocked godown. Somethings are required urgently in sense of 90 mins. Not for the guest, that use case is worthless for such apps.
My use case is getting stuff delivered within same day if its hyperlocal. As highlighted by you, why would i "Wait" for another day from Grofers if i can simply call that dukan wala and get stuff delivered, if not in 15-20mins, but in 2-3 hours, - that too without any delivery charges + some bonuses like credit etc.
Few months back,i use to see so many bikes with grofer delivery boys. These days, hardly they are visible on roads. I
