The Gujarat state government will soon launch a new policy but only for technology driven startups which includes players in the field of electronics, information technology (IT) and nanotechnology.
Under the policy, the state government will create 100 incubators in Gujarat and develop incubation space. It will also invest upto $1 billion through VC funding over the next five years.
The department of science and technology will be launching the policy and target the startups that have raised at least one round of funding. The Government will also hold conferences by end of this year, aiming to promote the technology startups.
