What about net neutrality ? I mean, Jio will 'own the content and the experience' and with the forked version of the Firefox OS, expect them to create a 'walled garden' strategy?
In one shot, Jio will become a media company, an ecommerce company and in few years time will pretty much own the users and the 'user experience'. RIL invested in Balaji Telefilms (was announced yesterday) and it's quite natural that they will now push Balaji content to Jio subscribers.
If you look at three Cs of media business : Content, Community and Commerce - Jio will eventually own them all !!
While this is disruptive and Jio will certainly crack 'Bharat', I won't be surprised if they actually play around the access angle without net neutrality discussion even coming to the picture.
For majority of Indians, Internet = Jio. Eventually (in 3 years).
This is what FB and Google have been trying to do with anti net neutrality projects, but Jio has played a much deeper and ballsy game.
