Mukesh Bansal and Ankit Nagori, who left Flipkart in February this year, have received $15 million for 'CureFit' - their startup which is focused on catering to people's healthcare needs as well as provide sports and fitness services.
The funding is led by Accel Partners, IDG Ventures, and Kalaari Capital and the duo had initially pooled in $5 million from their own pockets.
Ankit Nagori said, "Currently there are multiple service offerings available in the market in a fragmented manner, but none of them lets users manage their health needs end to end. CureFit is end to end solution that will enable users to take full control of their health to improve the quality of life and reduce long term healthcare costs."
When they left Flipkart both Mukesh Bansal and Ankit Nagori had plans to start their own individual ventures, but later teamed up to start a joint venture.
CureFit is currently a team of eight and plans to expand to include another 20 before they launch, which is slated to be around early 2017.
The funding comes at a time when investment in startups has dramatically dried up.
