The 'real economics' of being a cab driver at Ola and Uber isn't working out for many drivers.
Close to 10,000 drivers have left the two companies (just in Bangalore alone) in the last 2 years. The new driver registration/signups which was close to 300-350 per day is now 40-50 across Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi (via).
Is this because the industry is maturing and this sort of churn is just okay OR drivers just aren't able to cope up with the payout randomness and instead prefer a stable job?
Somewhere, this also correlates with the state of vendors and employees in the ecommerce industry..
