I booked a cab with Roder from Delhi to Manali and this was biggest mistake. I paid in 20% advance 2 days before travel and asked for the driver's detail. Several calls made to call center to get the details. The trip needed to start at 4:00 am from Ghaziabad so we reach Chandigarh by 9:00 am (260 Kms in 5 hours). They did not provide driver detail even at 10:00 pm in night. The SMS came something around 11:57 pm while we were asleep.
At 3:30 am I called at number given in the SMS and driver had no clue about the tour. He was 90 KMs away from my home. I called Roder to cancel the cab and Customer Support threatened to forfeit the advance 3000/-. He was absolutely rude guy. He started explaining "System Failure" reasons.The driver they provided us was from Chandigarh and awake full night. Anyhow driver was courteous and we started our drive 3 hours late. We got stuck up in Delh 's bad traffic through out the route. Reached our destination 5 hours late at 10 pm all tired-up. So we missed the entire 1 day of trip. Rest of the trip was completely disturbed with no rest to rush up the itenary. Missed one day of hotel booked. Now on travel part - we have to extend trip by 1 day for just no reason, hire a hotel and pay an additional 2900 due to their cap of 250 km per day.
Overall inconvenient, very costly, poor customer service and immense inconvenience. No mistake of driver. The worse part was handling the entire episode when I complained. The whole team was trying to prove that they were right and I was wrong.
The reason behind this mess-up is the greed to make maximum profit from each customer by exploiting driver's schedule. Their drivers drive upto 12 hours a day. This is grossly risky and unethical. No intention to use Roder again.
I think neighborhood driver will do a better job.
