Twitter has become a vitriolic place to be - you say anything (political) and you will get trolled. Worse if you are a female and people will call you all sorts of names.
Singer Sony Nigam who was recently involved in a controversy has finally quit Twitter. But his last few tweets speak for a lot of people who are frustrated with the negativity Twitter spits.
"I quit Twitter Today in Defiance of this One Sided Sham. Every Logical, Sensible Patriot and Humanist should. I don't belong 2 a place whr sm Pseudo Intellectuals actually turn a Blind Eye to d Unprecedented slap I gave 2 d Fatva proclaimers on me. I am no Right Wing, No Left Wing. I respect everyone's Opinion but I guess Here, you have to Belong Somewhere." [image credits]
Even I have gone slow on Twitter - it has largely become a place where any political discourse is either taken as pro-or-anti-BJP.
Clearly, the politicians are winning this social media vitriolic battle as more and more sane people quit.
Unless Twitter fixes the trolls, it is staring at irrelevancy.
