The Government intends to develop start-up ecosystem throughout Karnataka. The facilities available in Bangalore to be distributed to other major cities of the state. Moreover, the Govt intends to introduce start-up products & services in the Govt. departments, wherever applicable, so as to make their processes more transparent and help the citizens of the state.
Therefore, the registration with the start-up cell will allow the Govt to classify the start-ups based on their utilities and connect them to the right dept for implementation.
This step is bound to extend credibility to the start-ups and also strengthen the public procurement policy deviations of the Central Govt. The Director and Principal Secretary intend to synergise with all the existing stakeholders & service providers so that the state start-up cell becomes a one stop shop.
The intention is very good. The implementation is the key factor now. Moreover, the Govt has been investing in start-ups through venture funds. Start-ups can apply for the same through the start-up cell.
The information dissemination shall become more transparent and structured through this initiative.
