Pasting here an observation made by blogger Richard Saunders "A blockchain as I understand it is a secure distributed ledger, a permanent log of transactions. Things like governance systems, smart contracts, apps, etc. sit on top of that. A blockchain in itself doesn't guarantee effective governance, markets, apps, contracts, or organizations and it certainly doesn't guarantee merit. All previous issues of good governance remain, with the possible exception of accounting fraud."
