Tabtor, an iPad based e-learning solutions company has announced that it closed a $1 mn seed round led by New Jersey based SoundBoard Angel Fund and marquee investors like Bangalore based Aarin Capital Partners, Sand Hill Angels, BITS Spark Angels and other individual investors.
The New Jersey based startup was founded by Raj E Valli, a former Wabco Holdings executive. “This capital provides Tabtor with the resources that will drive our expansion and place us solidly in the educational technology market – a market that is just beginning to take off,” said Valli.
Tabtors learning solution tracks a students learning path using various techniques including metrics like learning velocity and confidence levels. The company’s learning software is now used by students in the US and India.
“The round raise enables Tabtor to accelerate their market entry into the consumer space and support further product development. Greater emphasis will be made on making the platform scalable and accessible to multiple partners and across multiple devices,” the company said.
