Micromax Invests in ixigo

Micromax had announced last month that it will be making investments of 0.5-20 million dollars in over 20 startups in the coming year. For this objective, Micromax has also set up an M&A team which has been actively sourcing and working with startups across major technology markets such as Silicon Valley, Europe, Israel and India to bring in the best products and capabilities.

Micromax Launches Its 4G-Enabled Canvas Knight 2 Smartphone At Rs 16,299

The device will go on sale on June 10 and buyers will receive a free 4G SIM from Airtel along with their purchase. The Canvas Knight 2 features a 5-inch HD display and is powered by a 1.5GHz Snapdragon 615 processor coupled to 2GB of RAM. On board storage stands at 16GB, there’s an SD card slot and 13MP and 5MP cameras at the back and front respectively.

Micromax Partners With MoFirst To Offer Users Better Local Language Support

The company is hoping to solve the issue of smartphones catering only to English speaking users and is using MoFirst’s Swipe technology to translate messages in 10 local languages. Further, the partnership will also give Micromax users access to App Bazaar with 10,000 local language apps, helping it rise above rival Chinese smartphone manufacturers.
