Tata DOCOMO launches SongShare

SongShare application will allow subscribers to Set, post, share their CMT on Facebook

· SongShare is a Social RBT application where subscribers can post and upload their Call Me Tunes on FB profile and share with their social networking buddies

· Tata DOCOMO subscribers can also activate CMT by clicking on the Social RBT wall posts

· The application also recommends and suggest options for songs based on past usage and location.

To bolster the VAS portfolio, Tata DOCOMO, the GSM brand of Tata Teleservices has launched an innovative application ‘Songshare’ on popular social networking site Facebook, under its Call Me Tunes (CMT) service. The application captivates CMT subscribers with extremely unique and interactive Facebooking features like publishing their Call me tune status/updates on Facebook wall, allowing their friends to copy songs by clicking the postings on the wall, recommending a song from the available songs list to friends group or fans and searching song content available and downloading them for all callers or a specific caller. What More! Customers can also subscribe to Call Me Tune service on their Tata DOCOMO numbers, using the application. The application is available for all Tata DOCOMO post-paid and pre-paid subscribers.

Speaking on the launch, Mr. S Ramakrishna, Regional Head – South East, TATA DOCOMO, said With increasing internet usage and necessity to socially network, Facebook has really taken off globally with more than half a billion users. SongShare application is an effort to reach out to a wide, potential customer base on Facebook, encouraging penetration and usage of CMT service. The customers can enjoy the features and the benefits of Songshare application without even activating CMT via Facebook. The application enhances the CMT service and makes it more interactive and enjoyable.”

To subscribe to the application, the customer has to log on to TATA DOCOMO Songshare application on Facebook. During the process of setting up the application, the customer is prompted to share his/her mobile number for authentication purpose. The application then generates a random number and sends it to the registered cellphone via SMS. Post the same, the customer has to enter the number received via SMS and complete the registration.
