Chosen start ups will get a ready to use office, strategic advice, process support, access to domain experts and go to market support. The $100 billion group has been active in the sartup ecosystem for quite some time now.
The group had joined hands with National Entrepreneurship Network in 2008 to launch “Tata NEN Hottest Startup Awards.” With NEN, the group has been also supporting student entrepreneurship through the First Dot program. Tata Communications had announced its support to iAccelerator, an incubator run by the Center for Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneruship (CIIE) at IIM- Ahmedabad.
In the last few months, many incubators and acclerators have been launched in India. Dave McLure’s 500 Startups, Rajesh Sawhney’s GSF Acclerator, The Hatch, Sanjay Swamy’s AngelPrime, Lalit Ahuja’s Kyron, Pearl Uppals 5 Ideas are a few that have opened in Indian recently.
