Tata Motors has unveiled new Ziptron powertrain technology which will power all its new electric cars. The first car powered by Ziptron may be launched late next year.
The Ziptron technology houses a magnet AC motor and IP67 certified dust and waterproof Li-ion battery system. The system has been tested for over 1million kilometers.
The company will offer an 8-year warranty on the battery and motor system. The motor is said to come optimized for Indian traffic and is said to offer a minimum range of 250kms.
