Tata Group is entering into the e-commerce space with TataCLiQ which will offer exclusive international luxury brands in India.
TataCLiQ has formalized a strategic partnership with Genesis Luxury Fashion which will enable them to offer a wide range of international luxury brands, exclusively.
Genesis is the marketing and distribution partner for more than 14 international brands that include Coach, Burberry, Furla, Tumi, Hugo BOSS, Jimmy Choo, Giorgio Armani, Emporio Armani, Armani Jeans, Bottega Veneta, Canali, G-Star RAW, Michael Kors, Paul Smith and Villeroy & Boch in India.
Ashutosh Pandey, CEO, TataCLiQ, said, “Together, Genesis and TataCLiQ.com are also targeting a number of luxury brands that are not present in India or a part of Genesis’ portfolio. These will be launched over a period of time on TataCLiQ.com. Luxury products online on TataCLiQ.com are all known, well established brands, with a strong loyalty base. Customers of these brands are completely sure about the quality of these brands, and comfortable with the prices at which these are retailed in an offline channel and the online platform will add to their shopping experience and convenience.”
Some of the international luxury brands will be entering the Indian market for the first time. These brands will debut their Autumn/Winter collection in India on TataCLiQ.
TataCLiQ will open to consumers on May 27, 2016 across its website, mobile site and mobile apps (Android & iOS). At launch, TataCLiq will offer consumers a new shopping experience in apparel, electronics and footwear categories.
Over the next few months, the plan is to expand the offering by adding many more categories, brands and exciting features.
