Tax collection from Google, Facebook up by 59%

The tax department collected  ₹939 crore in the year to 31 March, up from  ₹590 crore a year earlier.

That is, Indian entities paid digital platforms (Facebook, Google etc) at least  ₹15,650 crore to place advertisements (compared to  ₹9,800 crore they spent in the previous year).
