Kerala’s First Incubated Consumer Electronics start-up Enters Retail Segment

Attitude-Next-6339--bKerala’s first incubated consumer electronics start-up, Telmoco Development Labs Pvt. Ltd, has entered the retail segment by launching the Attitude Next 6339, a seven-inch Android tablet phone.

The start-up is incubated at the Technopark in Thiruvananthapuram.

The Attitude Next 6339 has a 7-inch IPS Clearview Dynamic Display with a 1024×600 HQ resolution. It supports data and voice calls with the help of a 2G SIM. It is powered by a  1 GHz ARM Cortex A9 processor with MediaTek MT6515 Chipset and has a PowerVR SGX539 graphic processor. The rear camera is a 2-megapixel one and it also has a 0.3 VGA front camera. It has just 8GB of inbuilt memory but that can be expanded up to 32GB with the help of  a microSD card. It comes with a 5500 mAh battery which should last the full day. The tablet is 190 x 122 x 11.8 mm and weighs 350gms.

The tablet comes with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and also various third-party apps preinstalled like We Chat, One Browser, Kingsoft office, F-Secure Anti Virus, Facebook and Teen Patti.

The Next 6339 will be available in over 400 retail stores in Kerala and over 100 online stores from May 26 onwards at a price of Rs 7,999. The device can be bought online right now from the company’s website.

Last April, the company had launched their first product Attitude Daksha, which some thought was an Aakash competitor. Telmoco sold over 2,500 of these tablets, said CR Nijesh, director, Telmoco Development Labs Pvt. Ltd.
