Tesla plans to source parts worth $1.9B from India: Piyush Goyal

  • “Tesla last year already bought $1 billion worth of components from India. This year, their target is $1.7-$1.9 billion,” said Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal.
  • A new EV that Tesla plans to create would cost around Rs 20 lakh, making it around 25% cheaper than its present entry-level model.
