Offline mobile retail chain TheMobileStore has signed up as a merchant partner on hyper-local mobile marketplace Zopper, to sell products to customers that demand the ease of shopping online.
Using the Zopper app, a customer would now be able to discover & buy products from nearest outlet of The MobileStore, which is promising to deliver products within 4 hours, sweetening the deal for buyers.
Utilizing its vast retail network, TheMobileStore can eliminate a great deal of the logistical headaches that come with managing inventories and delivering products. Zopper on the other hand will provide it a front on the mobile, where customers can make purchases while in the comfort of their homes or offices.
The proposition will also appeal to buyers that research online and purchase goods offline [ROPO] in order to eliminate the wait to receive the product. However, by prompting users to buy online, TheMobileStore also runs the risk of losing customers to other e-retailers, but it seems that’s a risk the firm is willing to take.
