Ekster is a Netherlands based startup that offers smart wallets which come in the form of standard wallets or even phone cases and they all feature a mechanism to pop out your cards with a button, RFID blocking to prevent data theft (on RFID enabled credit cards), trackability via the TrackR Crowd GPS system and are powered by solar energy.

The TrackR Crowd GPS tracking is quite interesting as it relies on a form of P2P system that allows you to potentially locate your wallet even when out of Bluetooth range. Ekster claims that the tracker ‘card’ requires only 3 hours of light to last a month. Beyond functionality. they seem to have a variety of designs and claim that the wallets are ‘hand-crafted from the highest quality genuine leather available in Europe’.

Ekster

After raising $1,000,000+ last year on Indiegogo, the world’s bestselling smart wallet is back on Kickstarter. Ekster 3.0 is the slimmest and smartest smart wallet to date. This super slim leather wallet comes with a solar-powered tracking device against loss or theft.
