- Post the scrapping of its new ambitious liquor policy, Delhi’s old excise regime brought in Rs 7,285 crore from 61 crore liquor bottles sold.
- Excise department recorded a total revenue of Rs 7,285.15 crore between September 1, 2022, and August 31, 2023, including Rs 2013.44 crore as VAT collected.
- The new excise policy had generated on average, Rs 535.2 crore monthly, summing up to Rs 5887.2 crore from October 2021 to August 31, 2022.
