Ticketgoose raises INR 3 crore from angel investor including R. Narayanan, plans to have pan India presence

Ticketgoose.com, an online bus ticketing service has raised Rs. 3 Crore funding from angel investor R. Narayanan, former CEO of Gum India including other investors based in the US. With this round of funding, Ticketgoose overall valuation is close to USD 7 Million (approx. Rs. 38 Crore).

Launched in 2007, Ticketgoose provides information like price, availability and booking  for buses to more than 3000 destinations and currently have more than 250 bus travel partners across 4500 destinations in South India.

With the raised capital, Ticketgoose is looking for pan India expansion. Speaking to Pluggd.in, Arun Athiappan, Co-Founder and CEO, TicketGoose said “We are extending our service in Pune and Goa this month which takes our location presence to 14 places. Additionally we would be rolling out our services in other 36 locations across India within two years time”.

By 2016 Ticketgoose expects to book 1 lakh tickets everyday. With this round of investment, the company Will aggressively target B2C space and launch new version of its website in January 2013.

Ticketgoose competitor, redBus recently hit 2 million customer base (sold 1 crore bus seatsBus).
