The Govt may come up with a revised highway toll policy to boost EV adoption. The policy draft proposes a provision of a 50 to 100% toll tax exemption for zero emission vehicles.
It is said that NHAI has already sent the policy draft to Nitin Gadkari led ministry of road transport and highways for consultation.
If approved, this concession will be available for the first five years from the date of announcement of the policy.
