Toyota has showcased its upcoming ultra-compact utility electric vehicle ahead of its commercial launch. The new two-seater car offers a range of 100 km in a single charge and can drive at a maximum speed of 60 km/h. As per the company, this car is best suited for elderly people or for people who want to make regular short-distance trips to the office or to the nearest market.
The car is production-ready and will be commercially launched next year. Toyota aims at wider adoption of this EV with a new business model and is also working on ecosystem products like charging stations and insurance etc.
