Do More with Email – Track Issue, Tasks, Support Tickets and much more [IssueBurner]

Your Email Inbox offers immense monetizable opportunities and if you are the one having a hard time keeping up with task management, IssueBurner  could be a solution you were looking for.

Developed by Bangalore based Webyog (they launched Cloudmagic earlier, a search service for Gmail/App users), IssueBurner brings task management/issue tracking to email.

Most of your important emails have actionable components (To Do/Team Collaboration etc) and IssueBurner enables you to track these actionable emails and categorize them under specific groups.

Using Issueburner is pretty simple – once you sign up, you can simply add ‘issue@issueburner.com’ as a recipient in your email you are sending to the team/individual. Issueburner creates a task for each of the recipients and they collaborate with them on this task till it is closed. An important thing to note here is that the recipients need not be existing users of IssueBurner –  and one can simply reply to IssueBurner emails which are captured in system (as updates).

You can easily collaborate with a group or a team, create a group on IssueBurner and add people to it. Each group will get a unique email address. Any mail sent to group email address will create an issue for the group. The group members can track and collaborate on these issues till they are closed. You can even publish the IssueBurner group email address as your help-desk address.

What I really like about this service is that it work with any email service – thereby reaching a much larger segment (unlike several other apps built on top of Gmail only). The product in its current form needs to close the loop via time-bound reminders/alert services.
