Transport Ministry Setting Up Committee to Look Into Matters Related to Taxi Operators

Govt. is setting up a 12 member panel, headed by Road transport and highways secretary Sanjya Mitra, which will discuss matters related to app-based taxi operators like Ola, Uber etc, including existing permits and surge-pricing. The Delhi High Court had earlier fixed August 22 as the deadline after surge pricing was not allowed.
